The Day After Sharathon

It's Friday. Whew.

Sharathon overrides everything. The regular format. Our daily office work. We have dozens of volunteers. Hospitality. Decorations. We all eat too much, all day. But THIS was the easiest and most enjoyable Sharathon of them all.

God promises to provide for our needs. Why am I always surprised when He does?

Monthly 105%
One-Time 118%
Total # of Pledges 1,723

Amazing! Praise the Lord!

  1. Ok here's my question. On-air you were saying that only 5% of listeners give. What were you basing those numbers on? Total reach?

Assuming that a good chunk of your listeners would be couples and families (and they wouldn't give more that once per family) that means that 1723 pledges could mean around 3500 people or more that are giving. which would mean 70,000 listeners - Does that count Internet listeners? Just curious what your numbers are like these days

I'm also fine if you are doing the good old radio trick of spinning numbers only in reverse to make you sound like the little station that could instead of the typical "everyone in the city listens to us"

I'm glad that your hit your goals. I do love living in a place where I can hear life 100.3 over the radio... although the radio guy in me still channel surfs to hear what everyone else is doing.

Oh and a side note, my parents had a book during ratings so I know you got at least a few hours of 60 + demo. Hope that helps ;) The just love that fact that they can do it now that I am out of the biz.

  3. Actually, some families do donate separately. My daughter and I both donated--which is only fair since we both love the station! Keep up the great work!
